Boy Band Brewers....Hanson brews beer?

Disclaimer: this is not new, and certainly not newsworthy.

How did I miss this? Admittedly, I don't keep up on celebrity news but this is so out there I'd think it would have landed on my radar at some point. The boys responsible for Mmmbop have grown up and are now entering the craft beer world with Mmmhops...what? It's an American Pale Ale at 7.5% ABV and brewed by Mustang Brewing Company of OKC. Proceeds benefit Oklahoma Tornado relief. My verdict...pretty cool. Thoughts?

Google Trends, which measures relative search activity without disclosing volume, shows a dramatic spike in searches for the term "craft beer" during the last 3 Mays. It also forecasts the same for 2014. There are smaller spikes around September each year. The Great American Beer Festival being in October would justify that spike. What's up with May?

It's certainly a matter of taste and opinion, and a no wrong answer discussion. Oktoberfest...
